About the Conference

The International Symposium on Biomedical Engineering (ISBE) is an annual event initiated by the Research Center for Biomedical Engineering, Universitas Indonesia (RCBE UI), held since 2016. The event is organized to improve the communication of science, research, and technology among students, faculty, and researchers in Indonesia and abroad who study and or have a career in biomedical engineering. The International Symposium on Biomedical Engineering would be one of the ways to strengthen the biomedical agenda in Indonesia with international relations.

ISBE 2025 is the 10th edition of the ISBE conference and will be held in conjuction with The 19th International Conference on Quality in Research (QiR). We aim to provide a platform for researchers and young scientists worldwide to present novel findings and discuss the future of biomedical engineering for 2025 and beyond. ISBE 2025 will be held on October 27-28, 2025, at the Hotel Tentrem, Yogyakarta, Indonesia with the main theme being “Biomedical Innovations: Transforming Healthcare for a Sustainable and Inclusive Future” which will underpin the need for collaboration and cooperation of individuals and industries from a wide range of biomedical engineering and health backgrounds in order to create sustainable healthcare transformation. The conference will include a variety of important sessions including:

• Tissue Engineering, Biomaterials and Nanotechnology
• Computational Biology and Bioinformatics
• Brain, Neural and Rehabilitation Engineering
• Biomedical Sensors and In Vitro Diagnostic Technologies

• Health Informatics and Clinical Decision Support Systems
• Biotechnology and AI in Healthcare

Selected papers will be submitted to reputable Publishers for journal publications.

Deadline for Full Paper Submission: June 13, 2025 (Extended to 31 July 2025)

Notification of Acceptance: August 25-28, 2025 (will be informed to the email you registered via EasyChair)

Deadline for Early-bird Registration & Payment: September 1, 2025
