About the Conference – ISBE 2023

To achieve one of the three duties tri-dharma (three duties) endowed by the Indonesian national education system, especially to accelerate the advancement of technology and research in biomedical engineering, integrated thinking of the researchers from various educational institutions and biomedical research is required. There have been various discoveries and/or research in medical engineering areas from higher education and/or research institutions. However, the results lack coordination that can be pinpointed in a specific direction. To accommodate this idea, a symposium is needed primarily to discuss positive collaboration with all biomedical researchers equally and mutually.

The International Symposium on Biomedical Engineering (ISBE) is an annual event initiated by the Research Center for Biomedical Engineering, Universitas Indonesia (RCBE UI), held since 2016. The event is organized to improve the communication of science, research, and technology among students, faculty, and researchers in Indonesia and abroad who study and or have a career in biomedical engineering. The International Symposium on Biomedical Engineering would be one of the ways to strengthen the biomedical agenda in Indonesia with international relations.

ISBE 2023 is the 8th of ISBE conference and will be held in conjunction with The 18th International Conference on Quality in Research (QiR). We aim to provide a platform for researchers and young scientists worldwide to present novel findings and discuss the future of biomedical engineering for 2023 and beyond. The ISBE 2023 will be held on October 23 – 25, 2023, at the Hilton Nusa Dua, Bali, Indonesia, with the main theme being “Empowering Multidisciplinary Partnership for Healthcare Product Industry and Services” which will underpin the need for collaboration and cooperation of individuals and industries from a wide range of biomedical engineering and health backgrounds. The conference will include a variety of important sessions ranging from biomaterials, drug delivery and development, medical devices, clinical and health management, etc.

The selected papers will be planned to be submitted to reputable Publishers.

Notification of Acceptance: August 1, 2023 (will be informed to the email you registered via Submit-Manuscript)

Deadline for Early-bird Registration & Payment: August 15, 2023
